Great German Food. I went over for the Sunday Brunch and, while they didn't have many breakfast items (they had French toast sticks for crying out loud), their mostly German food options were more than enough to satisfy my family and give us something new to enjoy after church for once.

Had a very great time at Waldhorn. I love German cuisine and Waldhorn didn't disapoint a bit! The design of the interior is on the traditional side and give you that German vibe. The food is awesome and huge plates too.. I had the potato pancakes as appetitive and then the Waldhorn sampler, because I couldn't decide on just one menu item - wanted to try everything! They have a great variety of German and domestic beers, and you can get a sampler of 4 beers if you can't decide right away. Staff was very friendly and helped us navigate the German terminology in the menu :D. Thank you Waldhorn!

Went there for Brunch. The staff were very friendly. The food was excellent.Watch out for the mimosas! They are $5.00 for a small glass. I've never been to a brunch where the Mimosas and Bloody Mary's weren't free.I guess that is because of the strict liquor laws in the Bible Belt. You can not give away liquor no matter how small and mild it may be.

Definitely one of my favorite restaurants in the Charlotte area. Great food and atmosphere. Never disappointed or anything left on my plate when I leave.

Me and my foodie went here to eat my first time. Great service and the food was good I had broccoli cheddar soup and she had potato pancake with apple sauce on the side hers looks like hash browns. Dessert was delicious apple strudel with small scope of vanilla ice cream. Everything was good if you are in Charlotte NC drop by it’s worth it.

Tasty fried pork and salmon-tomato pasta. The pork was juicy and crispy, the accompanying sauce for it was delicious! Spacious, Beautiful interior too!

Awesome taste of a different culture hidden away just south of Charlotte. Must visit for anyone looking for a change from the norm. Great service and atmosphere.

Top reasons to come here. They have 12 hard to find German beers on draft. Fresh hot pretzel rolls. Relaxing cottage style atmosphere. Come as you are relaxed feeling. Staff is friendly and courteous. Food always hits the spot. Definitely, a must do in town!

Our first visit to The Waldhorn Restaurant was great! The food and service was awesome! Pictured below are our desserts. Top photo is Apple Strudel with Vanilla Ice Cream and Whipped Cream. The bottom photo is Bread Pudding. Both were yummy! We highly recommend this restaurant.

Tasty German food and beer in a traditional, homey atmosphere. They’ve got a large variety of German beers on tap. The bratwurst and sauerkraut are fantastic. Had lunch at the bar. It was very quiet in the afternoon, though I imagine the Sunday brunch is much livelier.

The food and service is consistently great. The restaurant itself is spacious with its high ceilings but still feels cozy and comfortable. Great German cuisine!

We always enjoy the German dishes here. It's a large area so they also have a gaming group the accommodate. They have an accordion player that comes some nights as well. Good is good, staff is welcoming, and atmosphere is fun.

I've liked this place since before I was vegan, and the fact that their pretzel rolls, braised red cabbage, and bread dumplings are not makes me want to cry because they're so delicious. Nevertheless, I appreciate that they were still able to feed me now and the vegan vegetable plate I got here recently was tasty... I'd recommend to order it with extra or double potatoes.

Just head our wedding reception here. Gita runs an amazing restaurant that puts out absolutely DELICIOUS German food. Can't recommend it enough!

My hubby and I love this place. Having traveled across Germany we want authentic food and The Waldhorn delivers. The beer selection is amazing. The staff is friendly and patient. The food is just delicious and fresh and takes us back to Germany. There was also an older gentleman dressed in Lederhosen playing the accordion. We have planned a monthly visit.

One of the best restaurants I’ve ever ate and worked at. The food is alway 100% perfect. The owner is phenomenal. Great experience working there and even better experience going their as a customer. I take my family there every time they come to visit.

Authentic German place, lucky to have it in town nearby. Must go if you're into German food and beer - I'm not but still enjoyed it for a one time visit.They even have someone going table to table playing ethic music/singing if I remember right, which my daughter enjoyed.If you live in the area, go try it out for sure, enjoyable dinner experience.

Lovely place, very new and clean. Staff is efficient and courteous. Food was delicious.

All around experience was good! We went on a Friday and they had a musician going around asking for suggestions. The food was good! I got the duck with dumplings. It was good, not great. I really like a good juicy and tender duck. But it was a little too done. The German draft beer is always good, but I feel like they had pretty basic beers to choose from. Our waiter was great as well.

I constantly stop purchasing some food in here. I like the efficient customer service and well prepared dishes. Keep up the good work.

Showed up shortly after it opened for the evening which is 5PM. Instant seating. Plenty of parking available. The little pretzel "table breads" are very good, exactly the way they should taste. The beer is good, not the freshest but that's usually what you find in the United states when you get beer from an imported keg. That said, it wasn't flat by any means. The swabian sausage platter was chosen for my dinner. Not sure where they get their sausages from, but kudos to them and the source! These taste like real german sausages. None of that german sausage, that has, over time, been tainted with more and more sugar. The sauerkraut was on point. One area I would critic: I do not know what the brown gravy was, I did not care for it much.To sum it up, I'd come back for sure. To the restaurant owners, keep it up!

Been here a few times and they amazed me with delicious tasty food everytime. Brought some friends and they want to come back very soon. Highly recommend.

Love this place my wife and I have gone here for a few years. The food is authentic and delicious. The beers are wonderful and the service is always great. They make you feel appreciated. One of our favorites!

Wow!! I hosted my boyfriend's birthday party here last month and I was blown away! If I could give more than five stars, I would! First of all, Gitta was so sweet and easy to work with and made sure that the reservation was complete. I was very impressed before we even arrived! We had ate here before and had excellent service that I didn't believe could be surpassed. I was wrong! We had about 20 people in our party and our 2 friendly servers along with the amazing managers made sure our every need was met and more! They truly went above and beyond and it was very much appreciated. I highly recommend everyone to consider Waldhorn for large parties! We had a great experience and will definitely be back!PS: their birthday cake is OUT OF THIS WORLD, TRY IT!!

I love the relaxed atmosphere and the super friendly service. While I enjoyed my food I must say it used to be better, but we still had a great time.In the summer don't miss out on the Biergarten.

Great family atmosphere. Authentic German recipes. Super friendly staff. One of the best brunches on Sunday in the area. Highly recommend this place. Be there at 10:30am on Sundays if you don't want to wait.

This is one of the best meals I have eaten in a long time. The pretzel bread, potato pancakes, pasta pillows (amazing) and apple strudel were all amazing. It's rare to go to the restaurant and have every course be delicious. Not one thing about anything I ate was bad. I'm sad that I was only passing through town, because I would love to go back here.

Always a delightful place! It can be had to find something different when dining out in Charlotte. It seems like most places have the exact same things with only slight variations. The Waldhorn stands out as a unique place to eat with a delicious and varied menu.

We went last night with friends for dinner. First time for all of us. First, the place looks like somewhere in a Bavarian village! Wonderful atmosphere, great and friendly service. The salad is one of my best I've had in a long time--fresh, with little "surprises" to be found in it: a dollop of German potato salad, cucumber salad, carrot salad and orzo. They give you a nice portion (I have some schnitzel stuffed with black ham and cheese, spaetzle, and broccoli to enjoy for lunch!). My husband and I shared the dessert, which was vanilla ice cream with a little whipped cream in a bed of warm, delicious raspberry sauce. Will definitely be going back!One note: We got there at about 5pm, and were seated right away, but when we were leaving the place was packed! So plan accordingly, because this is obviously a popular spot, and rightly so.

Was absolutely delicious, went for brunch. Had as much food as I could. Try the black forest cake when you're done. Will be coming back for more.

Top notch service and authentic German food. Great German beer selection as well. We visit often for dinner which is always great, but their Sunday brunch buffet is one of the best in Charlotte. They also have a big event every year for Oktoberfest that features live music and lots of beer

This restaurant has great atmosphere and it's perfect for a date night or a hearty meal with friends. If you've never been, the Sunday buffet is a wonderful time to sample a lot of their cuisine. I would still recommend going on a different day to see the full menu; the carpaccio and homemade cheese cake are two of my favorite things here and they are out of this world. I have always had pleasant experiences with the staff and the drinks as well, so this restaurant is an all around favorite for me.

We've been to most of Germany and the food at the Waldorn is very authentic. Delicious schnitzel and sausage, all of our favorite beers on draft, and very friendly staff/beautiful building.

First visit - totally impressed ! Excellent service and our waitress answered every question and made recommendations when asked. Emily is an asset to your restaurant. The food was prepared as we requested and was in line with authentic German cuisine. Very relaxing atmosphere conducive to an excellent dining experience. Definitely will make the drive again.
